O’Connor will read from his most recent novel Shadowplay, based on the life of Bram Stoker, and will then discuss the inspiration and research that goes into writing historical fiction.

Though born in England, Rachael English grew up in Shannon, Co. Clare. Her first novel, Going Back, was shortlisted for the most-promising new-comer award at the 2013 Bord Gáis Irish Book Awards. Her third novel, The American Girl, reached number one on the Irish paperback best sellers list. Her other novels are Each and Every One, The Night of the Party and The Paper Bracelet.
