Removal of tree outside St Flannan's College, Ennis

14 April 2020

As part of the programme of ongoing assessment of mature trees by Ennis Municipal District through a qualified arborist, a single mature beech tree located in front of St Flannan's College (Clare Road R458), Ennis, has been deemed to require immediate removal on public health and safety grounds.

Contact has been made, and agreement reached, with the National Parks and Wildlife Service for the immediate removal of the tree.

These works are deemed essential and will commence on the 15th April 2020 and are expected to last a few days. This work may result in temporary closure of the R458, and the loss of the public lighting on the footpath in order to facilitate the safe removal of the tree.
